Canada will legalize marijuana in July 2018, reported the British newspaper “The Telegraph”, citing government sources in Ottawa. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau fulfills an election promise. For medical use marijuana is permitted in the following US states: Colorado, Washington, Alaska and Oregon. After the elections in 2016 they were joined by several other states. Uruguay is the only country in South America, which allows marijuana for medical purposes. Under Bulgarian law, marijuana is a narcotic substance with a high degree of risk and is prohibited for use in both human and veterinary medicine.
