In Georgia (Tbilisi ) have been celebrated 29 years since the tragic events of 9 April 1989.

On April 9, 1989, a peaceful demonstration in the city of Tbilisi was blown up by the forces of the then Soviet Army. Against the demonstrators were used poison gas, infantry blades, and firearms. The dead toll  was at least 21 people. Every year, on that date, memoration to the victims of these events on Rustaveli Boulevard in the capital Tbilisi is held.
