On October 28, 2018 in the Czechia is celebrated 100th Independence Day (declared in 1918) of Austria-Hungary and the creation of the independent state of Czechoslovakia. From 1 January 1993 Czechoslovakia was divided into two separate countries: Czechia and Slovakia. Both countries are part of the Visegrad Four, as well as NATO, the European Union and Schengen zone. Since 2008, Slovakia’s currency is the euro and the Czechia remains with the Czech koruna.
